Working Abroad In Ibiza For The Summer Season Need A Bit Of Help If Possible =)?
Hey guys (this may be a long one sorry!) Ive recently come across the idea of working over in ibiza and i soooo want to try it! I just wondered how likely it would be to get work? Im female, 21 at the moment and looove the nightlife..im thinking maybe of going next year or the year after i want to do this properly and get money behind me to afford accommodation and so i can support myself while looking for work so ill be 22/23 years old..Is that too old?
Also im from the UK so speak english i read that speaking spanish can help alot to? So im thinking of learning spanish.. also does it help to have previous bar/club experience or will they train u?
The main thing id love help with is finding people that want to go out and work there for the summer season around the same time as me 2010/2011 because i dont have friends who can commit to it- they love the idea but dont put the effort in to cut back on things so they can save up the money for it.+ i they dont like the idea of work and just want to party! So ive stopped relying on them for support now!
Is there a website/agency where i can meet people like me. Id love to be able to find like minded people so that we can all maybe rent a villa/house or share an apartment as i know accommodation can be a real problem and im a little worried about going on my own. im terrified of planes and ive only been abroad once!
Even if you cant answer any of these Qs id still love any info or advice im learning as much as i can about it before i commit to going.

I don’t think I would bank on being able to get work, yet. Spain is deeper in recession than any other country in Europe. They are at about 20% unemployment, and jobs are going first to citizens. Then to EU citizens.
Sit on that idea until the economy improves a bit.

Young people who go abroad to work on their own never worry about planes. They go there because they have adventure spirit. They are single minded, they don’t ask questions like this, they know what they want and give it a shot. If it falls apart then they do something else.
If you want to do it, great, but hundreds do and don’t make it. I live in Spain and I’ve seen so many go home disillusioned!
