New To South Beach, Miami? Nightlife?

Im from new york city. My friends are 17-20 and we are going on vacation soon to miami. Our hotel is south sea hotel. We have been told that miami is not very lean on ID and you have to pay the bouncers 100 if your underage. In nyc, you pay the bouncer $20 and show off your assets and you get in easily. Im thinking of borrowing a friends ID but she doesnt look like me so i have to try to move around the situation. Does anybody know any good places for us to dance and party ? Any tips to get in some good places?

there isn’t a direct answer to your question. Can you get in some places? sure. Can I tell you which ones at what times? no
just dress the part and try your best. but be prepared to pay cover in addition to whatever additional money you might through towards a bouncer.
