Does Erie, Pa, Have Any Good Clubs Or Bars (good Nightlife?)?

Im thinking of going to Gannon University and i was just wondering what the party/club scene is there. I am interested in partying and stuff in college, do you know of any good clubs, or fun places for college students (18+). Also are there things to do Erie during the winter, or will i be bored out of my mind going to school there?

I visited a med student friend at LECOM 4 years ago and all of the swank nightspots were either on the lake’s shore line or along Perry Highway (aka US 19) leaving town and approaching I-90. Erie is a good size town with a surprising amount of culture and activities – given its proximity to both Buffalo and Cleveland. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a 2 hour drive while one can drive to Toronto in less than 4 hours. Pittsburgh is also 2 hours south on I-79.
